I've been on and off the South Beach diet, when I stayed on it for a month, I did lose about 10 lbs. I did moderate it, I eat lots of carbs, and couldn't stop cold turkey, so I did substitute my morning toast with a 1/2 whole wheat muffin with light butter. I also kept my morning glass of OJ.
I basically mixed diet plans to suit my taste buds and ate smaller portions. It worked until I went on vacation and regained the weight and stopped excercising.
Now I am starting all over again.
