Well, I've always thought that women should measure their waists at the smallest point of their midsection. I just read an article though, written by a dr for a medical journal, where they recommend measuring just above the hip bone (well, "iliac crest" were his exact words. LOL) Though they agree it doesn't make
much of a difference, as far as your health is concerned. So, just make sure you aren't including your hips/hip bones if you measure a little lower. Best to do it in front of a mirror too.
