All they had to do was the hysterectomy and it would have been done. She likely could've had a few more years, at least. BUT because she didn't do anything about it, it spread to her lungs and bones as well. She declined from doing okay to doing REALLY bad overnight it almost seemed. One day she was considering radiation and the next she was bedridden and not eating. Now for the last month she has been on a morphine patch which pretty much keeps her out of pain, but leaves her pretty lethargic. She hasn't eaten in 5 weeks, just liquids, so it has weakened her a lot. It's basically only a matter of time at this point. BUT- as I stated before... she feels ready- she said that before it got really bad, so yes... there is a peace about it.

Thanks for asking!
I've seen things like that happen so many times. My great-great grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer many, many years ago and never did anything about it. Eventually her healthy caught up with her too but I believe if she would have done something about the cancer back then that she could have lived longer, if she wanted. But then again she was almost 103 when she passed so she lived a very long life. I will continue to pray that your g-ma is comfortable and that when the time comes it is peaceful.
