Lisa, that is great you can do 45 mins on the elliptical machine. I've always wanted to try that machine.
I keep wanting to eat more servings of fruits and vegetables each day...but I realized I don't know how to measure it...say I have a salad. It has lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, carrots...do I think, a salad=1 serving of veggies...or do I count all the little extras on my salad, as with this one it would be salad=5 ? I mean, if I was counting them in my calorie thing, I'd count them separately for the calories, not just as one thing...lol I'm confused, but if anyone can explain that to me, thanks
Today's Accountability:
B-Oatmeal and banana
L-turkey sandwich, house salad
D-leftover long john silver's fish
Total Calories: 1,455
I went over my calorie goal, I think. But I had fries at dinner, but not that many, there weren't that many left so I split them with my dad. So the serving size I had might have been smaller than what I ate
Water-almost there, I will get it in
Vitamins~check
Exercise: I did the 1 mile twice (WATP)
Next week I want to try the 2 miles, is it that much hard than the 1 mile? I'm not sure if I can do it...but I've been doing the 1 mile 2 times, trying to get my body ready for the two mile...
Hi Dagny--Generally one serving of vegetables is equal to a 1/2 cup. So, if you had a salad with 2 cups of lettuce, 1/2 cup of peppers, 1/2 cup cucumbers, and 1/2 cup tomatoes, that would equal a total of 7 servings of vegetables. Hope you had a great week!
